A little over a week ago my friend Dina and I took in the Nicolai Fechin exhibit at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle. A Fechin has to be experienced in person. The amazingly thick strokes of multicolored paint can't be enjoyed properly in any sort of reproduction. If you get a chance, I highly recommend seeing it. The fabulous Frye is free.
