Why Not Limes?

I often see really lovely paintings with glowing
lemons and oranges. Limes are a different story.
What, I ask, is wrong with the innocent lime?
In Mexico the best dish served in the family home
I lived in was chicken soup with a good squeeze of lime.
So this is my little ode to the lime. I almost painted it
without the tomato but couldn't resist putting a little red in.
