I was more than a little excited to make it to my petit jolie studio in Venice.

 The beach in Nice.

The color of the water is simply unbelievable.

 Relaxing on the promenade with my feet up, admiring my cute new tennis shoes.

What you will need to use on your blisters after walking around Nice all day in cute new tennis shoes. Thanks to my sister Renee for finding this for me. It works great!

Sorry I didn't give more warning but we are currently in the Amsterdam airport waiting for the last leg of our flight to Nice. A big thank you to my brother Nathan for dropping me off at the Vancouver airport yesterday. The first leg was nine hours. Lots of great movies to choose from on the KLM flight made the length more bearable. I highly recommend "Hidden Figures". Now I really need a nap! Not until I get on the plane though....

That beautiful day in the tulip fields, we were there ALL day. This was painted in the lovely evening light. The group that evening grew by two dedicated students coming up and painting after work.

We had one day, that I'm aware of, with sun from morning to dusk on the tulip fields and we were there to paint it. It was an amazing if exhausting day.

Friends Maggie, Diana and Karen out painting with me in the morning.

This lovely lady kindly let me take her photo.
The color of her saree was a perfect match with the tulips.
