No. 450 Silver Creamer with Gerber

Silver Creamer with Gerber
Oil on Gessobord
6" x 6"

I was very happy to discover this silver creamer in an antique store in Snohomish. Gosh, I like shiny things. The gerber daisy is from one of my flower boxes. I don't usually grow them but the intense color and long life of the flowers make them pretty irresistible. Now I just need to learn how to keep from killing the plants!

Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. For the life of me I couldn't get a good photo of this painting. Which is really a shame because I'm pretty proud of that silver goblet. :)

Daily Paintworks, the website I usually auction my paintings on, posts challenges to inspire artists. One recent challenge caught my eye. Brenda Ferguson (a favorite daily painter of mine) asked us to paint our bliss. Beautiful, beautiful flowers are my bliss. So with that in mind, I painted these lovely double tulips in a silver pot. If you would like to see some other challenges on Daily Paintworks click here.

Day 284 Silver Still Life

Silver Still Life
Oil on Gessobord
6 x 6

A still life I almost forgot to post. I'm very fond of this little silver
piece although I don't know exactly it is. It has a lovely patina.
I'm assuming it is a little vase but it is a tad bit wide for that.
Any ideas?

Day 278 Silver Creamer with Lime and Geranium

Silver Creamer with Lime and Geranium
Oil on Gessobord
5 x 7

I had a really great time hunting for still life props during our travels
this summer. This silver creamer leaped out at me in a Goodwill
store outside of Astoria, Oregon. I was more than happy to take it home.
