A few paintings fell through the "blog cracks" over the holidays. Pink might not be a traditional Christmas color but it does make for a gorgeous poinsettia.

I just finished taking an online workshop from Dennis Perrin. He is an absolutely amazing painter of roses. I have admired his work for years. When he announced he was teaching an online class, I couldn't resist. This is the first of several rose paintings I've been working on as I try to absorb his process. I think it might also be my best.
