There are three things I really like about primroses.

First, their no-holds-barred, smack-you-in-the-eye color.

If I were to characterize primroses, shy would not be in the description.

Second, during the dark, dreary days of winter primroses are the first flowers to show up

outside our grocery store reminding me that, yes, spring will come.

Third, I'm enchanted with their light sweet fragrance floating up to me as I paint them.
