They keep on coming. This one reminds me of something you'd find on a birthday cake.
Daily painting has been a surprising comfort these days. I suspect the routine of it and the focus needed to complete a painting is what makes it a nice respite. Getting the paintings photographed for blogging is a different story. So my blogging might be intermittent for a bit, just to let you know...

A party on the beach was a great way to end the 13th annual Playgroup camp out in Astoria. I don't know which contains more sand, my shoes or this painting. :)

Fort Stevens State Park lies in the very tippy tip of northwest Oregon, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. You can check out old civil war era military bunkers here as well as pretty peak-a-boo water views like this.
