Colored bottles are the newest category in my prop collection. The only problem is I never remember what I already have when I'm standing in a thrift shop. A photo on my phone of my current collection is in order I believe.

Copper Kettle - Round Two

My first attempt at painting the kettle didn't thrill me so I

thought I would try again. This time on gessobord instead of canvas.

Painting on gessobord really is a different experience than painting on

canvas. The surface is much less absorbent, so your paint

really slides around. It takes getting used to. The end result being, 

I liked my first painting better. Try, try again!

I've been experiencing some long term throat irritation. Horror

of all horrors, I thought my oil paints might be the cause.

That is one reason you've seen so many watercolors lately.

After my throat finally felt better, I tried this painting.

I've been watching a video by Quang Ho. Wow, what

a painter! This is more or less the same color scheme he

used in his demo. I really liked the bright red against the

greens and warm neutrals.
