Ronald's Quilt Barn - Plein Air

This funky old barn is in Ronald, a tiny town outside of Roslyn on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass. I just love to paint in this area. The vegetation isn't as dense as it is here on the soggy, west side. A wall of vegetation doesn't make for a very interesting painting so the open spaces of the east side are quite a breath of fresh air.

Mill Creek has a very nice walking path on it's western edge. On one side of the path are shops, town homes and apartments. On the other side are streams, ponds and forest. From one end to the other is about three miles. In the middle are some terrific restaurants. While on the path, Don and I spotted this lovely heron. We celebrated the end of our walk with lunch at the local Mexican restaurant. All in all a very nice day out.
