No. 703 Paint-In Model

Paint - In Model
Oil on Gessobord
6" x 6"

This little piece was painted from a live model at the PAWA paint-in last fall. Apart from a great profile this model also wore a terrific hat. We just had the early spring PAWA paint in a little over a week ago. If you are interested, I made a little video of the event...

No. 619 Arboretum Paint Out

Spring at the Arboretum - Plein Air
Oil on Gessbord
6" x 6"

The Washington Park Arbortetum was the first place I had a chance to paint outside with PAWA members this year. Wow, what a beautiful place to begin the plein air painting season. My problem at paint-outs these days is spending more time chatting with friends than painting. Why do PAWA members have to be so interesting?

No. 505 Mt. Shuksun

Mt. Shuksun from Artists Point - Plein Air
Oil on Canvas Panel
8" x 10"

I was so inspired I actually painted an 8 x 10! Actually, I was so struck by the amazing feeling of space and of being on top of the world, I have plans to paint a much, much larger version. We'll see!

No. 393 Spring PAWA Paint-In

Paint-in Party
Oil on canvas board
7" x 5"

Another great party with the PAWA group. It's a great having someone else design the still life. All you have to do is elbow your way in for the perfect view. :)

If you'd like to see a short slide show I created of the paint-in party click here
